Privacy policy

GB Interiors ("we", "us") respects your privacy. This policy explains what personal information we collect, how we use and share it, and your rights under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles.

What we collect

• Information you give us: your name, phone number, email address, suburb or address, project details, budget and timeframe when you send an enquiry, book a consultation, call or email us.
• Information about your visit: the pages you view, how long you spend on them, the website or advertisement that referred you (including campaign and click identifiers), your device and browser type, and your approximate location (city or region, and country). We collect this with first-party cookies (gb_vid and gb_sid) and, unless you decline, with tags from Google (Analytics and Ads) and Meta (Pixel).

How we use it

• To respond to your enquiry, provide estimates, schedule consultations and deliver our services.
• To understand which pages and advertisements are useful, and to improve our website and marketing.
• To measure our advertising. When you send an enquiry, we may share a one-way encrypted (hashed) version of your email address and phone number with Google and Meta so they can tell us whether an advertisement led to your enquiry. They cannot read your details from the hashed values.

We do not sell your personal information.

Who we share it with

We share information only with providers who help us run our business, under obligations to protect it: website hosting (Render), database hosting (MongoDB Atlas), email delivery (Twilio SendGrid), and advertising and analytics platforms (Google and Meta). Some of these providers store data outside Australia, including in the United States. We may also disclose information where the law requires it.

Cookies and your choices

On your first visit we show a notice about cookies. Choosing Decline stops Google and Meta tags from loading and limits our own analytics to the current visit. You can also clear or block cookies in your browser, and manage advertising preferences in your Google and Meta account settings.

Client films on our website play from YouTube, which is operated by Google, and playing one connects your browser to Google. On our advertising pages they begin to play, without sound, as you reach them, unless you have chosen Decline.

How long we keep it

We keep enquiry and customer records for as long as we need them to provide our services and meet our legal obligations. Website visit data is automatically deleted after about 18 months.

Security

We take reasonable steps to protect your information from misuse, loss and unauthorised access, including encrypted connections, access controls for our staff, and limiting what we store.

Access, correction and complaints

You can ask to see or correct the personal information we hold about you, or make a complaint, by contacting us using the details below. We will respond within 30 days. If you are not satisfied with our response, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.
